PHOENIX (AP) - A committee appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer to oversee efforts to improve state government's workings meets Thursday for the first time.
The Government Transformation Committee's members include six directors of state agencies and offices and two representatives from the private sector.
It's being created under an August executive order in which Brewer said state government must become more efficient and smaller at a time as agencies' funding is limited yet there are increasing demand for services.
