Robber threatens to blow up Phoenix bank

PHOENIX -

A bank robber threatened to blow up a bank in downtown Phoenix Tuesday afternoon.

Police are looking for the man who robbed the US Bank near 1st Avenue and Monroe in downtown Phoenix.

Police say the suspect walked into the bank and approached a teller about 12:30 p.m. He then demanded money, threatening to blow up the bank if the teller didn't hand it over.

The cash was given to the suspect who then ran out of the front door.

Description: white male, 60's, 6'-6'1" tall, 170 - 190 lbs., white bushy hair, wearing a black baseball hat with "Arizona" printed on the front, black sunglasses, faded plaid or flannel long sleeve shirt, faded blue jeans and was carrying a black canvas shoulder bag
