YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an 82-year-old man is dead after getting struck by a car in a pedestrian crossing in Yuma.
Police identify the victim as Pedro Hernandez of Yuma.
They say Hernandez was hit as he was attempting to cross 24th Street shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a 55-year-old Yuma man was driving the car that allegedly struck Hernandez.
They say the accident remains under investigation and no charges have been immediately filed in the case.
