CHANDLER, Ariz. -
Two people had to be extracted from a two vehicle crash on the westbound Loop 202, near Kyrene Road.
A car and a sport utility vehicle were involved in the crash but officers are still investigating how it happened.
Two people had to be taken out of their vehicles, one man and one woman, according to Tom Dwiggins with Chandler Fire Department.
Both people were taken to a hospital in serious condition but their injuries haven't been released.
The Loop 202 and ramps to Loop 101 have been re-opened, according to Arizona Department of Transportation.
