A pit bull stolen from a dog rescue may have been found in a park Tuesday.
The Humane Society got a tip Tuesday that the missing pit bull was left at a park near 7th Avenue and Hatcher, according to Debbie Hicks, a volunteer with AZ Small Dog Rescue.
Hicks said a young red-haired woman driving a white Jeep took the dog because she thought she was homeless. She said the woman called the Humane society and told them her name was Angela. She said she saw the news, had the dog and wanted to adopt her.
But, when the rescue tried calling the woman, the number didn't work.
Hicks said they will be handing out flyers at the neighborhood and near the park, hoping to find the woman that has Pricilla, this missing pit bull.
The dog was originally stolen from the rescue on Friday, when someone cut through a fence and stole her out of her kennel.
