Think you are a great cook? You have a chance to find out this Saturday. MasterChef Gordon Ramsay is looking for some new contestants right here in Phoenix for his show.
Monti Carlo knows what it's like to cook under pressure. Nothing is hotter than Chef Gordon Ramsay's kitchen. If you want to cook there, you better have a thick skin.
The Phoenix single mom was a contestant on season 3. She impressed them with a pie and her passion.
"I came to Master Chef with a humble apple pie. I got into the top five. Trust me, it didn't have anything to do with my cooking skills. I'm a single mom determined to stick around as long as possible," Monti told us.
Now she wants to give Arizona home cooks a chance to show off their culinary skills on the popular FOX show.
"I didn't think I was that good and that's why I want to reach out. Because if you have received one compliment on your meal, trust me, you should be here. It will be an amazing day."
To get one of Monti's front line passes, you have to show up to at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School this Saturday in Scottsdale with your signature dish. Only three will be picked for the Los Angeles casting.
"It is their biggest casting day. you will be the first person the master chef talks to, the first dishes they taste, that is a huge advantage."
Monti wants to see an Arizona home chef take the crown.
