An Arizona boy was airlifted by helicopter after he became caught under a boulder in the desert on Sunday.
Gates Pass is a popular place for hiking and watching sunsets, but it became a daring rescue operation involving the 9-year-old child.
Akio Evans became trapped while hiking with his grandmother. He describes seeing a desert tortoise and leaning on a boulder -- before the rocks came tumbling down, trapping him.
Take a look at the video. You can see Evans being airlifted on a stretcher to an area hospital. He says it was a ride and an experience he'll never forget.
"Yeah, it felt like I broke my leg. I never felt anything more painful because I've never broken anything," he said. "Yeah, I was just screaming my head off."
Luckily, he didn't have a broken leg, but it was banged up. He's expected to be on crutches for awhile.
