A FOX 10 Exclusive
Crime scene tape was seen surrounding an exit at Wigwam Creek Middle School near Camelback and Dysart Roads Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say it's unknown as to how many people were involved in break-in Monday night, but someone stole desktop computers, a projector and a couple of laptop computers from a reading lab -- a place with more electronic equipment than typical classrooms.
"It's believed that this person used a rock..one of the rocks around the property here..broke the glass and crawled into the window, taking these devices and leaving in a hurry," said Sgt. Brandon Jones of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
There is a security camera next to the lab. Investigators will be looking at the video footage, but are asking anyone in the area who may have heard the glass break, or witnessed a car driving away from the scene quickly to call them with any information they have about the case.
