Austin lifts city park burn ban

Austin Parks and Recreation Department has lifted the burn ban for all city parks.

Citizens are urged to use safety precautions while grilling in designated areas and campfires are only allowed at Emma Long Metropolitan Park.

Officials also want to remind everyone that all city parks are smoke-free. Violators will face up to a $2,000 fine.
