More than 8,000 foreign exchange students are on their way to study abroad from the Middle East.
Austin based, The Alhambra, hosted an event this afternoon with community colleges from all over the country at UT's Tutor House.
The goal is to place 8,000 fully funded and sponsored Saudi Arabian students into 2-year community colleges and 4-year universities across the country.
"Saudi Arabia has a great educational system. It's just nice to do this exchange here and even American students will do exchanges where they go study abroad. It's nice to just get out of your comfort zone and go into a new culture," said Amrin Malik of UT House of Tutors.
