APD seeks suspects in shotgun serial robberies

Posted: Updated:

APD is searching for two suspects wanted for five shotgun serial robberies in the Austin area.

The first robbery occurred in October and the most recent happened on Sept. 18 at the Shell Stop located at 8314 W Hwy 71.

Police say most of the robberies have occurred at convenience stores between the hours of 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. and the suspects display a shotgun.  At the most recent robbery the weapon was fired and police believe their violence may escalate.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males. One is in his mid-teens to early 20s and is 5'8" to 5'10" in height and has a tattoo between his thumb and forefinger on his right hand.  He was last seen wearing a long sleeved light green button down shirt, dark green baseball cap, black gloves and black pants.

The other suspect is 5'2" to 5'4" in height. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, purple and yellow (possibly LA Lakers or LSU Tigers) baseball cap, dark colored pants and gloves. In previous incidents he was seen wearing a long white Dallas Cowboys jersey.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the APD Robbery tip line at 512-974-5092 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS.
