    One man is dead and a woman is recovering after a stabbing in North West Austin and now homicide detectives are investigating.
    One man is dead and a woman is recovering after a stabbing in North West Austin and now homicide detectives are investigating.

A woman has been charged in the stabbing death of man that occurred Tuesday night.

According to Police, 28-year-old Annette Valdez was involved in an altercation with 19-year-old Cory Burns at a residence located in the 12000 block of Turtle Rock Road.

Valdez called 911 and reported that she had been stabbed but when police arrived they found Valdez and Burns with stab wounds.

Officers and witnesses attempted to perform life saving measures, but were unable to save Burns. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Valdez was arrested and charged with murder, a first degree felony. She is being held in Williamson County on a $850,000 bond.
