One man is dead and a woman is recovering after a stabbing in North West Austin and now homicide detectives are investigating.
Austin Police say a woman called 911 Tuesday night reporting only that she had been stabbed but when officers arrived they discovered a man dead outside the apartment complex.
"It was called in just as a stabbing call. The call-taker had some difficulty determining what was going on, so both EMS and APD was dispatched to the scene. And as far as who responded first, I not sure about that, but, like I said, the subject was discovered outside of the building," said Officer Traver Stefan during a briefing Tuesday.
EMS transported the woman from the complex on Turtle Rock Road near Anderson Mill to a nearby hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Police have not released any details about the nature of the relationship between the man and woman.
