On the second day of the drug trafficking and money laundering trial of local bar owners the Yassine brothers attorneys questioned witnesses about a confidential informant who worked for the FBI.
Mo Yassine was a confidential informant hired by the government to build a case against his cousins Mike, Steve and Hadi Yassine.
The jury heard testimony that Mo Yassine laundered money at Yassine enterprises in the amount of approximately $214,000.
Prosecutors have said that they also have video and recorded conversations proving the brothers are guilty. Defense attorneys countered that Mo Yassine was a liar.
One FBI agent who testified said that Mo Yassine failed two random drug tests and lied about a reason for missing another. He collected more than $300,000 for working for the FBI.
