The City of Georgetown will not be spraying for mosquitos city-wide this fall.
The City Council met Tuesday evening to discuss the possibility of city-wide mosquito spraying, but council members voted the proposal down.
This after the worst West Nile outbreak in US history with nearly 3,100 cases reported across the country. Texas has had the highest number of cases.
Georgetown already sprays public parks every Friday and plans to continue to do so through November.
