Hundreds came together Saturday morning in Austin to walk for a good cause.
The group, Autism Speaks, put together the event at the Dell Diamond to raise money for autism research.
The money raised will be donated to autism studies that are happening in Texas.
Diana Alemenderez is with the organization.
"Autism Speaks works for research, advocacy, family services and awareness. So being here, they obviously see that they are not alone and there are great resources here for families to learn about treatment, and to see some of the sponsors and get fit doing a good cause."
The Autism Speaks committee raised nearly 180-thousand dollars before the race, but hoped to raise eight to nine thousand more today.
