An Austin man was grazed by a stray bullet at a North Austin gas station while he was filling up his car.
The incident happened at the Exxon station located at MoPac and Duval Road.
David Chiluk says it felt like someone threw a rock at him. He said he was checking the anti-freeze in his car when he felt something hit his stomach.
"I look up to see if there is anyone throwing rocks at me," said Chiluk.
Police responded and a helicopter was deployed to search for the possible shooter.
The bullet was recovered by APD. Police are not sure where it came from. There was a report of three shots fired near the Medical Center in North Austin.
Chiluk told FOX 7 that he feels very lucky and will probably buy a lottery ticket.
