Round Rock Police are searching for a murder suspect spotted earlier in the day at Seton Hospital.
Damarlon Dante Ware is wanted for murder in Louisiana. Round Rock police told FOX 7 they do not know how long Ware has been wanted, but a neighbor tells us he's been living here on John Wilson Lane in Round Rock for about six months.
Police realized ware was wanted when they were called to a disturbance at Seton Williamson County hospital. The disturbance was between Ware and his girlfriend. Ware left on foot before police arrived.
Texas State University Police notified students and the community due to the proximity of the hospital to the campus. Officials say there is no indication Ware was ever on the Round Rock campus.
Williamson County SWAT units and Round Rock police then went to Ware's girlfriend's home in hopes of locating him there.
Ware is still at large.
A friend and neighbor of ware's tells us he had no idea that ware was wanted for murder and seemed like a very nice man.
"He walks around the neighborhood every day. He's sociable with all the neighbors and he's not the type of character. He doesn't fit into the mold of a murderer. And that kind of surprises me a lot because who else could be a murderer on your own street. You know this is round rock we all live in the suburbs. I mean who is to say that your next door neighbor is a murderer anymore," said Dave Montenegro, the suspect's neighbor.
Ware is believed to be armed with a knife. Anyone who sees Ware is asked to contact 911.
