Texas quarterback David Ash was honored on Monday for his breakout game Saturday's victory against Ole Miss.
The Longhorns defeated Ole Miss 66-31 while Ash had a career game. He completed 19 of 23 passes for a career high 326 yards and four touchdowns. At one point in the game he completed 15 straight passes.
As a result he was named the College Football Performance Awards National Quarterback of the Week as well as the Big 12's Player of the Week for offense.
Texas has a bye week this week and takes the field again on September 29 against Oklahoma State in Stillwater. Kickoff is set for 6:50 on FOX 7.
