Air Jordans are popular and have been the reason for some recent crimes in the area.
They're called "sneakerheads," people who are fanatical about shoes.
"These are brand new, never worn, real nice," said Edsai Garcia.
"These go for $305 online," Garcia added about another pair, more specifically, Air Jordan sneakers. "These go for $270 and $265."
Garcia buys his shoes at sneaker conventions.
"If you're a real "sneakerhead" that's something you have to see. It's amazing," Garcia added.
He's only 16-years-old and has already made $600 by selling different pairs of Jordans.
"I wanna make a profit. I wanna make enough to be able to buy more," said Garcia.
These Craigslist and Facebook ads show a wide variety of asking prices. The new Lebron James shoes are by far, some of the priciest to ever be released, retailing for $315.
"It's definitely the quality and what Jordan, what shoe it is," said Garcia.
On average, a pair of Air Jordans cost about $160. Compare that price tag to these released in 1991, cost over a thousand dollars.
"These were released in 2009 and they're a lot more expensive than the 2011 release," Garcia said. "They called me on Craigslist, a guy, a veteran, he said he'd give me $80 for them, which is pretty good. They're used."
Dealing with strangers can sometimes turn into a dangerous situation.
"I go prepared. I don't go by myself. I go with a friend," said Garcia.
Kendall Ellis, Drevante Hill and Rontarious Johnson are all charged with robbery by threat after Austin Police say they attacked another young man during a botched Air Jordan sale.
"You're asking to be robbed going at night," said Garcia. "That's dangerous. That's dumb."
In Houston, three teens cut a hole in the roof of a mall, trying to steal 16 pairs of Jordans.
"I'm keeping these for sure," said Garcia.
They're not all for sale. In fact, he likes this pair so much, he may never wear them.
"I'm still thinking about wearing them....hmm...I hope I do," Garcia admitted.
