PHOENIX -
The wife of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton led an anti-bullying summit at Arizona State University on Friday.
Nicole Stanton's brother, Dion, was bullied in high school.
He died in 1991.
Friday's meeting brought school leaders, organizations and statewide resources together.
They're working to come up with solutions for Arizona school districts to crack down on the bullying problem.
Among those on hand was the Cartoon Network, doing its part to help young people.
"And it's very simple, there are simple, safe, effective things young people can do to speak up for their friends and to create a kinder culture in their schools..stop bullying, speak up..is all about recognizing that you have the power to create change for yourself, for your friends, for your school and for your community, said CN's Alice Cahn.
Nicole Stanton has spearheaded the Stop Bullying AZ initiative.
