DETROIT (WJBK) -

Joshua Jordan Corona is being held at an Alaska jail, charged with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting Jawaun Collins while they were drinking early Sunday morning.

Watch Taryn Asher's full video report above.

The two army men met in basic training and were stationed together in Alaska. According to police, Corona was drunk and put a gun to Collin's head as a joke, not knowing there were bullets in the gun.

Collins funeral is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of our Father Baptist Church on East 7 Mile Road in Detroit.

His mother says she plans to bury her son and then travel to Alaska to find out what exactly happened to her son, and to make sure the person responsible pays for what he did.
