A parade for veterans will be held Saturday July 7 in downtown Austin. The event is officially called "Welcome Home Iraq Veterans Parade and Jobs and Resource Fair".
The parade is to thank troops who served in Iraq and the job fair is to help the troops reintegrate into civilian life.
The parade will start at the Ann Richards Bridge and proceed north to the Capitol. The hope is for Congress Ave. to be lined with people.
