Police have charged a man for the death of a man who was found in a vehicle on Travis Country Circle.
Dario Ballard II, 22, has been charged with the murder of Omar Azmitia-Hernandez.
Police believe Ballard shot and killed Azmitia-Hernandez at a residence located in the 5000 block of Woodland Oaks Drive. Ballard then set the residence on fire to cover up the evidence.
According to court paperwork, both Ballard and the victim lived at the residence.
Ballard then placed Azmitia-Hernandez into a truck that he borrowed from a friend and took him to Blue Valley Park on Travis Country Circle.
Police believe Ballard had planned on getting rid of the body there, but was interrupted by a security guard.
The guard found a gate unlocked that should not have been and called Austin Police. He also saw someone running from the scene.
Police found Azmitia-Hernandez's body in the bed of the "borrowed" truck under a mattress.
Dario Ballard is being held in the Travis County Jail.
