The LBJ School of Public Affairs at University of Texas at Austin is working to correct an embarrassing error after finding a typo on the cover of its commencement program.
On the cover of the school's program, it reads: The Lyndon B. Johnson School of "Pubic" Affairs, instead of "Public." The school says the mistake was made by UT Printing, and was not caught in time for the mistake to be corrected.
The school issued this written statement:
"We sincerely regret that the cover of this year's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs' commencement program contained an unfortunate typographical error, which has since been corrected, and new programs are being distributed.
We pride ourselves in upholding a high standard of excellence and fell short on this time-honored occasion, which we deeply regret."
The school will send out corrected electronic copies and hard-copies of the commencement program to spring graduates.
