Atlanta Weather Forecast - Monday


After much warmer than normal weather to start off September we are finally going to get a hint of early fall arriving to North Georgia.

SHOWERS: An upper level disturbance coming in out of Alabama tonight will produce showers and a few t-showers mainly southwest of Atlanta this evening. By the overnight hours we will be looking at mainly cloudy skies with little to no showers activity remaining. A few isolated showers may form late Tuesday afternoon across the mountains otherwise we should be rain free until next Monday which by the way is the official beginning of fall.

COOLER AIR: A cold front moving through on Tuesday will bring below normal temperatures through the end of the week along with lots of sunshine. Highs will generally be in the upper 70s to low 80s with overnight lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

TROPICS: Hurricane Edouard remains on track to be the first major hurricane of the season reaching category 3 status sometime in the next 12 to 24 hours. For more details go to
