TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Police say a suspect is in custody for allegedly trying to lure two young girls into his car in Tempe.
Tempe police on Saturday identified the suspect as 30-year-old Joseph Jamie Larosa.
They said Larosa was arrested Friday night at his Tempe home and is being held on suspicion of luring a minor and attempted public sexual indecency.
Police said a man attempted to lure an 11-year-old girl and 13-year-old girl into his car early Friday as they were walking to Kyrene Middle School in Tempe.
The girls ignored the man and reported the incident when they arrived at school.
Police said a similar incident occurred late last month when another 11-year-old girl was approached in Tempe by a man in a vehicle.
It's unclear whether Larosa has a lawyer.
