One suspect has been arrested and a second is still outstanding following last week's armed robbery and shootout with police.
Police continue to investigate the armed robbery and shooting at the Watch and Save Jewelers near State Route 51 and Thomas Road.
The suspect who entered the store and fired the shots before fleeing the area was arrested Wednesday. He's currently in police custody and admitted his involvement in the robbery and shooting.
He has been identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Corrales. He was booked into jail for attempted 2nd degree murder, aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, armed robbery, and weapons violations.
Police say a piece of evidence in the abandoned vehicle led to his arrest.
The driver of the getaway car has not been found, but police have identified him as 25-year-old Adan J. Orduno. He's described as a Hispanic male, 5' 7" tall, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of unknown writing on the left side of his neck and a tattoo of three dots on his left hand.
If you have any information about this case or Orduno's whereabouts, call the Phoenix Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Silent Witness.
