ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Represent KTBC and MyFOXAustin.com to local advertisers.  Develop new-to-station and web business.  Maximize billing on existing account list.  Write, prepare and deliver sales presentations to advertisers.  Negotiate business with agency buyers.  Cultivate new-to-station advertisers through cold-calling and aggressive prospecting.  Prior media sales experience required and television sales experience preferred.  Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Experience with One Domain, Scarborough, Wide Orbit and CMR is a plus.  Excellent people skills.  Good driving record. 

PRODUCER

Put together a fast-paced, clear newscast with good writing skills, graphics use, and ability to put the best video with the best writing.  Work with reporters and photographers to get the best stories on the air.  Good at researching topics for live interviews in newscast.  Creative producer who can be flexible and change focus of show quickly and efficiently.  Two years experience as a newscast producer.  Working knowledge of libel laws and journalistic ethics.  College degree preferred in related communications field.  Must be creative and highly motivated.  Must be a team player. 

ANCHOR/REPORTER

Anchor morning and noon newscasts. Report as needed and assigned. Anchoring duties may include live field anchoring and other special events. Be an energetic, effective, clear communicator when telling and selling a story. Must be good at research and conducting live interviews. The morning show is five and a half hours of news, music, information and weather. We need someone who can think on their feet and handle breaking news as well as live interviews. We are looking for someone who is not always tethered to scripts. Minimum of three years experience reporting and anchoring. College degree preferred in communications related field. Strong command of English language; working knowledge of libel laws and generally accepted journalistic ethics. Must exercise good judgment. Must have extensive, proven anchoring/reporting experience in television news. Must be a highly creative, motivated self-starter, team player and newsroom leader. Must be able to drive company vehicles. Must have a good driving record.
