Work closely with Editorial team to manage all production/quality aspects of Station's digital platforms. Conceptualize/produce creative material, with emphasis on curating local/social content. Perform duties of on-line writer/producer, specializing in print style writing, copy editing and editorial gathering. Facilitate the editorial gathering of local web news, gleaning information from various sources and contacts and reproducing the above material into strong compelling material. Applications include HTML, JSP, FLASH and Photoshop. Interface with Editorial managers and supervisors from the Broadcasting side of newsroom to create a cohesive working atmosphere, managing the delivery of content using new distribution platforms. Ensure Web sites are coded to standards consistent with web style guides set by National in-house team. Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years of web production experience. Expert knowledge of web production, traffic reporting and ad serving systems. Solid understanding of web standards, design and usability. Knowledge of common web and application architectures. Knowledge of print and broadcast newsroom standards and styles. Understanding of user on-line behavior. Highly skilled in all areas of a/v digitizing, editing and encoding techniques. Advanced knowledge of internet publishing software and content management systems. Position demands excellent print/web writing, web editing, interface design and web production skills. Handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure as a cohesive member of a team. Knowledge of HTML, JSP, FLASH and Photoshop.

Put together a fast-paced, clear newscast with good writing skills, graphics use, and ability to put the best video with the best writing. Work with reporters and photographers to get the best stories on the air. Also works on assignment desk, to manage crews, prepare and maintain futures and story files, participate in daily editorial meetings and make story coverage decisions. Will help set up microwave and satellite feeds. Coordinate with Engineering and Production for live coverage of daily news and special events. Two years experience as a newscast producer. Additional skillset of working on assignment desk. Working knowledge of libel laws and journalistic ethics. Knowledge of microwave/satellite news gathering. Knowledge of newsroom computer systems. College degree preferred in related communications field. Must be creative and highly motivated and organized. Must be a team player. Evenings and weekend shift.

Edit video for news broadcasts.  Non-linear editing experience required.  General understanding of television news operations and news videography techniques.  Previous small to medium market experience as a news video editor or videographer.  Knowledge of newsroom computer systems.  Knowledge of libel and defamation laws.  Must be able to communicate well with others and be a team player.   


Answer phones, route calls, take messages, process mail and respond to viewer complaints and comments. Type general correspondence, reports and forms. Coordinate various special business functions. Handle travel arrangements. Order office supplies. Perform Accounts Payable functions including matching purchase orders to invoices and routing to appropriate parties. Provide daily lunch break coverage for station front desk reception. Pleasant and professional with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as Administrative/Executive Assistant. Previous Accounts Payable experience strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and duties. Excellent phone etiquette. Excellent communication skills and people skills, with an ability to interact professionally with staff and management. Detail oriented. Dependable. Must appreciate and respect the necessity for confidentiality. Solid working knowledge of Word and Excel. College degree a plus.
