Chicago's Most Wanted Palos Heights Bank Robbery

Posted:

You might say it looked like something out of a movie when two bandits knocked over a south suburban bank Memorial Day weekend. The FBI is about to up the ante in their search for them.

If you've ever seen the action movie called, "The Town", then you have an idea of how this bank robbery took place. The TCF bank branch on west 127th street in Palos Heights was robbed on Sunday, May 29th. Chicago FBI agents say both robbers were wearing masks and nun habits, similar to those worn in the movie "The Town". They were also wearing gloves and both were armed with handguns. After one of the tellers put an undisclosed amount of cash into a Nike duffel bag the robbers brought with them, investigators say the suspects fled the area in a newer model, light colored, Chevy impala. No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported,

In addition to the security camera photos, investigators would also like the public to take a look at a video that shows how this all went down. Since the suspects are wearing masks, Chicago FBI Special Agent Ross Rice says "We'd like the public to take a good look at it to see if they recognize something else about the robbers." The FBI is now offering a reward up to $20 thousand dollars for any information leading to the identification and arrest of the two robbers.

Again, because of the masks, agents don't know much about what these two suspects look like. Here is what they do know: The first suspect is described as a black male, 5' 7" with a light complexion. The second one is described as a black female, 5' 5", also with a light complexion.

They are considered armed and dangerous. If you see them, call police.

If you have any information about this case, call the Chicago FBI Bureau at (312) 421-6700
