Fight Cancer From Your Kitchen

Posted:

We have all heard the saying “You are what you eat.”

Well, what if certain foods can not only prevent devastating diseases, but help you recuperate much faster?

Fox 29’s Joyce Evans introduces you to a couple of girlfriends who have some healthy secrets to share with you.

Joyce visited the kitchen of Annette Ramke and Kendall Scott. Their road to success has come as a result of a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis for Kendall and Breast and Ovarian Cancer diagnosis for Annette. They were forced to adopt a healthier diet and lifestyle.

These ladies insist: No one is too busy, too cash-strapped or too unskilled in the kitchen to cook up a healthier diet.

These young moms are not cooking up a bunch of “girlie foods.” They are not master chefs. In fact, their “meat and potatoes” husbands devour their dishes.

The beauty of these recipes? They encourage you to load up on powerful cancer-fighting fruits and vegetables.

The book is called, “ Kicking Cancer In the Kitchen.”

Check out Joyce’s interview and then go and whip up some healthy and delicious No-Bake Oatmeal Raisin cookies.

Here is the recipe:

Insurance policies have rules governing what's covered and what's not. Generally, they make sense. The rules are designed to prevent unreasonable costs from being passed along to the insurer, and by extension to other insurance customers. But listen to Sheree Kober's story.
