Austin Java's Kitchen Manager, Orfanel Castelan, and GM, Rachel Hawk, stopped by Good Day to show us how to make some of the items on their heart healthy menu.

Recipe: Avocadeaux Salad

Ingredients:

  • 3oz Mixed greens
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 5 oz pickled red onions
  • 4 slices of tomato,
  • 3 oz corn pico (equal parts corn, black beans and pico)
  • 1 tsp green onions
  • 3 oz crawfish tossed in 2 oz remoulade sauce with a 2 oz side of balsamic vinegar

Pineapple Sunrise Smoothie

  • 6oz frozen pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 8oz smoothie mix (organic apple and orange juice)
