Anchor Keri Bellacosa has been giving you the FOX 7 NEWS EDGE since March of 2007. Keri started at FOX 7 News as a reporter with GOOD DAY AUSTIN. She moved to the FOX 7 NEWS EDGE at 5 & 9 in 2008. And now she anchors GOOD DAY each weekday 7-10 a.m., Austin's only live and local morning show.
A proud Austinite, Keri attended the University of Texas where she majored in Journalism-Broadcast News and minored in Business. Keri started her career as the morning anchor at KYTX in Tyler/Longview, where she fell in love with BBQ, sweet tea and Southern Hospitality.
She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Tom C. Clark High School. Keri often makes the short trip down I-35 to see her family, where they still reside.
Keri's favorite hobby is volunteering. She is part of a team that sends 1500 local elementary kids home with backpacks full of nutritional food each week. "Food in Tummies" serves both Baty and Hillcrest Elementaries in the Del Valle ISD. Keri is also a member of the Junior League of Austin, and serves as an advisor with a University of Texas student organization. She recently wrapped up her final term as a board member for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. When she's not serving the community, you may see her behind the mic as M.C. for your favorite charity/cause.
A U.T. Longhorn herself, Keri recently married a die-hard Texas fan, so you might just spot her and her husband on the burnt orange side of a game! Even Bevo himself was a witness in their wedding!
