Lawsuit Filed over Balcony Collapse

Another lawsuit was filed this week against the owners of the condo where a balcony collapsed injuring more than two dozen. The plaintiff is also suing the condominium association and the builders of the balcony.

The lawsuit alleges that the owners of the balcony, Wing Kong Wong (a.k.a. Calvin Wong) and Victor Wong knew that balcony was unsafe and not up to code.

The plaintiff alleges in the lawsuit that she suffered severe injuries in the fall. The lawsuit said she has had one surgery in which pins and plates were inserted into bones of her foot. She will have at least one more surgical procedure. She also is claiming that the injuries caused her pain, physical disability, and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff is asking for compensation for her medical bills as well as her physical and mental suffering.

Another lawsuit was field in August against the condo owners and the condominium association by four plaintiffs who were injured in the collapse.
