Kyle Police Identify Victim of Hit, Run

Kyle Police have identified the victim of a hit and run.

The victim was identified 23-year-old Patricia Castaneda of Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico, after police linked an identification card found on her to a recent VISA application made through the Mexican Consulate.

The accident that killed Castaneda happened around 10 p.m. on Jan. 18, near the 214 mile marker on I-35, just north of Center Street.

Investigators are not sure if she was trying to cross the interstate or was just walking along it.

Castaneda had a medium build and dark brown hair, medium length. She was wearing white Ralph Lauren canvas type shoes, pink striped socks, blue jeans, blue fingernail polish, pink t-shirt and a blue lightweight jacket.

Kyle Police are still searching for the driver.
