Austin, TX - Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is busy Friday morning going into the Labor Day Weekend with more than their usual holiday traffic.
It's taking longer than usual for people to get through security because one of the three security checkpoints was closed because of a gateway that was stuck shut.
ABIA said a contractor would fix the issue, but advised travelers to get to the airport early.
According to the City of Austin, ABIA currently suggests arriving at least 2 hours early for flights. 1 of 3 gates malfunctioned. Expect longer than average lines at security.
