Fire Burns E Austin Homes

An East Austin fire spread quickly Monday afternoon and damaged two homes before firefighters were able to put it out. Investigators say it started in a utility room at a home n the 6000 block of Club Terrace.

From that utility room, it spread to a carport and then to a neighbor’s house.

Nobody was hurt.

Investigators say the home where the fire started has $50,000 in damage including a burned truck and motorcycle.

The neighboring home sustained $20,000 in damage.
