Former Bastrop ISD Coach Charged With Improper Relationship

A former Bastrop ISD Coach was charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

Authorities say Bastrop High School Coach Jonathan Frelich allegedly had a sexual relationship with a female student while employed with the district.

The victim stated their relationship developed overtime and had become sexual during the summer of 2011.

Frelich turned himself into the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was charged with improper relationship between educator and student, a second degree felony. His bond was set at $50,000.
