Austin Police say they have charged two suspects in the connection with the December 2011 robbery of A-Plus Federal Credit Union.
According to Police, 40-year-old Sharon Shafer confessed to robbing the A-Plus Federal Credit Union, located in the 1400 block of West Stassney.
During her confession, Shafer advised that she and 31-year-old Micah Andrew Rumberger discussed robbing the bank and that he was the driver, during the robbery.
A witness had reported seeing Shafer exit a gold four-door Saturn and saw a driver wait in the car at the time of the robbery. The witness reported that the woman returned to the vehicle and it sped off at a high rate of speed.
Police confirmed that the Saturn did belong to Rumberger.
Rumberger and Shafer have been charged with robbery by threat, a second degree felony.
Shafer had previously been arrested for the United Heritage Credit Union robbery on Nov. 16, 2011.
