Lance Armstrong Trains in Tuscon

Tucson, AZ - Lance Armstrong is training in Tucson.

The seven-time Tour de France winner is working out with his new team sponsored by Radio Shack.

The group of riders includes 26 riders from 16 countries.

So why Tucson instead of here in Austin?

"Tucson is a real cycling Mecca, I think for the United States," Armstrong says. "You have a good infrastructure with roads, good climbs. You have nice flats, you also have a lot of bike lanes which I think has been, is helpful for any cyclist, but even for us when you are rolling down the road with 23 or 24 guys."

Armstrong trains in Tucson throughout the year.

He also competed in the Tour de Tucson in 1997.
