Hutchison and Perry Debate Set

Austin, TX - A date is set for Governor Rick Perry and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison to meet face to face.
Both have agreed to a debate on Jan. 14 before their hotly contested Republican gubernatorial primary next spring.
The Dallas public TV station hosting the event says Hutchison may ask for the debate to be rescheduled if it conflicts with a Senate vote on health care reform.
The live hour-long debate will include questions from journalists and the audience.
It will be distributed to all TV and radio stations in the state.
The Republican primary is March 2.
