Austin, TX - Two Austin teenagers are facing life in prison tonight. The two are accused of kidnapping, robbing, and trying to kill another teen.

One suspect is in custody but police are still looking for two others.

At least two of them are charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and attempted capital murder.

Police are going over surveillance photos taken at the Quick Trip Texaco gas station off Manchaca Sunday night.

It was around 10:45 pm police say, 17-year-old, James Perkins, stopped a 19-year-old riding a bike and asked to use his cell phone.

Police say that's when 18-year-old, Paul Rios and another man joined Perkins and forced the victim into an embankment.

They took his wallet and used his debit card at the Texaco ATM.

Police say Perkins got angry when there was not a lot of money in the account, punched the victim, and the three plotted to execute the victim.

Austin police Sgt., Katrina Pruitt, says that's when "he took off running and he was shot in the backside."

Sgt. Pruitt also says Perkins was also involved in another robbery just three days before, also in South Austin.

She says these are crimes of opportunity and are random. However she warns, people do need to be aware of their surroundings and listen to their instinct.

If convicted, Perkins and Rios can face up to life in prison.
