Round Rock to Get New Express Bus Route Service

ROUND ROCK, TX - A new express bus service is coming this fall to Round Rock. Cap Metro and the City of Round Rock announced that the two new bus services will give residents another way traveling to and from Round Rock.

The name of the new service will be called the Peak Hour Express Bus Service and it will take commuters from a park and ride facility located at South Brown Street in downtown Round Rock and travel to the park and ride facility at Tech Ridge.

The express bus service will run Monday through Friday during peak morning and evening hours and will connect with several Capital Metro bus routes including the express bus route to The University of Texas and Downtown Austin.

According to a press release from the city of Round Rock, the Reverse Commute Service will provide public transportation to employment in Round Rock from the park and ride at Tech Ridge. Passengers to Round Rock will have access to the SH 45 corridor and many of Round Rock's largest employers including Dell Computers, Inc.; Sears TeleServ; Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation; Celerity; Michael Angelo’s Food Processing; Dresser Wayne; Accretech; Mag Rabbit; KoMiCo and other large and small retailers and commercial centers located along the SH 45 corridor.
