Austin Police have charged six men in connection with the beating of three others on Thurgood Avenue early Sunday morning. Police say the six men got out of three cars and beat the victims as they were walking along the street.
Andrew Allison, 20, Henry Allison, 21, Jorge Cebrian, 28, Eduardo Estrada, 19, Javier Medina Jr, 17, and Jorge Simentales all were arrested and face numerous charges.
According to court paperwork, two of the victims were walking along the street while another was trying to cross the street when they noticed the Expedition swinging or swerving from side to side in the road. As one of the victims attempted to cross the street, the other victims told police they noticed the car accelerate in an apparent attempt to hit him.
The victim jumped out of the way and avoided being hit. The victims told police that two additional vehicles, a Ford F150 and a Chevrolet Surburban, pulled up to the scene. The six men got out of the three vehicles and began to attack the three victims.
The victims told police that several of the attackers had objects in their hands they were using during the attack. The victims told police that they were also robbed during the beating.
Police later found the suspects during traffic stops and they were positively identified as the attackers.
The men face charges for a variety of charges including assault with a deadly weapon, engaging in organized criminal activity, and robbery.
