Gobert Sentencing Postponed

The sentencing phase in Milton Gobert’s capital murder trial was postponed on Tuesday. Defense lawyers want to do a background check on a person testifying in the sentencing phase.

Gobert was found guilty of stabbing and killing Mel Cotton and then stabbing her 5-year-old son who has recovered.

The sentencing is expected to continue on Wednesday.
