Located on South Congress Avenue, The Continental Club has been called "the granddaddy of all local music venues." According to their website , Morin Scott opened the venue in 1957 as a private supper club. Current owner Steve Wertheimer took over in 1987 and refurbished the club.
According to a press release, writer Steve Garbarino and the Playboy staff visited bars, watering holes and dives from coast-to-coast crafting their list. In a Playboy article that comes out Friday, Garbarino explains why it's worth grabbing a seat at one of these establishments.
