Pflugerville Sues Over Open Meetings Act

Pflugerville, TX - Pflugerville is one of five Texas cities suing to overturn part of the state's open meeting act.
The cities claim the law violates elected officials' First Amendment rights.
It prohibits a quorum of members of a governmental body from deliberating in secret.
Plantiffs argue that some communication -- including e-mail or social media Web sites -- should be allowed outside of a posted meeting.
