Woman Attacked over Myspace Comments

An Austin woman was attacked in her apartment in front of her 2-year-old son by a woman who was dating her ex-boyfriend. April Gil, 24, was charged with attacking the woman after the two exchanged comments on Myspace about the ex-boyfriend.

According to police, Gil showed up to the victim's apartment and knocked on the door.  When the woman looked out the peep hole she didn't see anyone, so she slowly cracked the door open.  Gil apparently slammed the door open, throwing the woman back into the apartment.  Gil then started hitting the woman repeatedly until she was pushed back outside the apartment. 

The victim went to the hospital where she treated for an eye fracture, orbital blow-out that required surgery.

Investigators were able to check Gil's myspace page and found comments that boasted of her assault on the victim the day after the attack.

Gil is being charged with burglary of a residence.
