Austin, TX - Austin police arrested a woman who walked into a classroom at Fulmore Middle School and stole a teacher's purse. Police say the suspect used one of the victim's credit cards to buy a pregnancy test.
According to an affidavit, surveillance video at the school shows 29-year-old Linda Joyce Clark walking into the school and walking up a set of stairs to the victim's room.
The footage shows Clark going into the room with a raincoat draped over her arm and leaving with a tan bag in her hands.
Police say she was next seen at a nearby CVS -- a store she frequents during her breaks from the Southern Career Institute.
Court papers show that police spoke with Clark and she admitted to taking the purse. She said she committed the burglary to support her boyfriend's drug habit.
Police say Clark also admitted to stealing a purse from Galindo Elementary School in September.
Officers charged Clark with credit card abuse. Her bond is set at $5,000.
