Del Valle, TX (myFOXaustin.com) - Travis County Sheriff's Office says a hit-and-run accident has lead to the lock down of Del Valle schools. Del Valle Elementary, Middle School, High School, operational center, daycare and school administration were on lock down from around 11 a.m. until around 12:30 p.m.
Sheriff's Office says that a vehicle slammed into the back of a Travis County cargo van at Pearce Lane and FM 973 in front of a correctional facility. The driver of the vehicle immediately sped off, thus having to put the school district on alert for a hit-and-run suspect.
UPDATE: School as been taken off of lock down status as of 12:30 p.m.
